Position Summary

We are seeking a Machine Operator Bar Support to join a manufacturing team in Braselton. This role is responsible for operating assigned machinery, meeting production goals, completing the Operator Maintenance Program (OMP), and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient production.

This position is for 3rd shift, but candidates must be available to train on either 1st or 2nd shift before moving to the overnight schedule.

Candidates must be mechanically inclined and capable of performing basic maintenance and repairs on the machines they operate.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment including resistance welding machines, brake presses, and mechanical power presses

• Complete the Operator Maintenance Program (OMP) for assigned machines within the first 90 days of employment

• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues

• Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, and repairs

• Meet production and quality standards

• Identify and correct unsafe or defective products

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Complete required documentation including production tickets and process monitors

• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 2 years of machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred

• Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery

• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and operating instructions

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and tape measure use

• Ability to communicate in English

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing ladders or equipment

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and chemicals

• Moderate to loud noise levels (hearing protection required)

• Safety shoes and eye protection required

• Temperature conditions may range from 0°F to 110°F
