Shift: Fri - Sun 6am - 6pm

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bandsaw Operator to support fabrication and production operations in a piling and heavy materials environment. This role is responsible for accurately measuring and cutting steel materials using industrial bandsaw equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial bandsaws to cut steel piling and related materials to specified dimensions
• Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and cut lists
• Measure, mark, and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Adjust saw settings such as blade speed, feed rate, and coolant flow as required
• Monitor equipment during operation and identify any issues or malfunctions
• Perform routine equipment checks, blade changes, and basic preventative maintenance
• Safely handle heavy materials using cranes, hoists, or forklifts (as trained)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and internal policies
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and production team members to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience operating industrial bandsaws or similar cutting equipment
• Experience working with steel, pipe, or heavy industrial materials is a plus
• Ability to read measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and blueprints
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of shop safety practices

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 lbs (with assistance or equipment as needed)
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations
