Summary/Objective 
The General Laborer will perform various tasks to assist in the smooth, safe, and efficient recommissioning of the flotation mill and support other operational activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Recommissioning: Support the recommissioning of the flotation mill by performing necessary manual labor tasks, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing equipment and work areas.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Assist maintenance personnel with routine maintenance and minor repairs of machinery and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment as needed within the mill and other operational areas.
• Operational Support: Provide support to mill operators and other staff in daily operational activities, including monitoring equipment, recording data, and reporting any issues or irregularities.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including the mill, workshops, and storage areas.
• General Labor Tasks: Perform various general labor tasks as required, including digging, lifting, carrying, and other manual work.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are rotating 12-hour shifts operating on a 7-days-on and 7-days-off schedule starting on Thursday and working through till the following Wednesday. This position will require work during weekends and holidays.
