Estimating Technician

Salary: $17-$19hr

Role Summary
A growing construction-focused company is seeking an entry-level team member to support earthwork, grading, and underground utility projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in construction estimating and modeling—no prior experience required, training will be provided from the ground up.

In this role, you will assist with building and updating digital terrain models, performing quantity takeoffs, and supporting estimating efforts using industry software. You will also help review project plans, create visual overlays, and prepare reports for internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with building and modifying 3D grading and earthwork models

• Support underground utility takeoffs, including trenching and pipe quantities

• Generate quantity reports for bidding and project planning

• Create visual overlays for project review and site analysis

• Assist with takeoffs and estimating tasks using various software tools

• Review project plans and documents to understand scope and measurements

• Perform basic scaling, calculations, and data entry

• Help update and revise project files as needed

• Support project and estimating teams with reports and documentation

• Prepare files, reports, and drawings for internal review

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required

• No experience necessary – willing to train the right candidate

• Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to pass a drug screening
