Mobile Application Developer Job Summary

A faith-based higher education organization in West Michigan is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to design, maintain, and enhance mobile and web-based applications that support enterprise operations and student-facing platforms. This role is ideal for a senior-level developer who values clean code, scalable architecture, and delivering exceptional user experiences within a mission-driven environment.

 

Mobile Application Developer Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain native mobile applications for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin or Java)
• Enhance and support existing mobile and web applications for performance, security, and scalability
• Integrate applications with APIs, databases (SQL Server), and cloud services
• Maintain and extend front-end features using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and ongoing system improvements
• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution, including occasional after-hours support
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements

 

Schedule & Pay:

• Schedule: Full-Time, Salaried
• Pay: $75,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience

 

Mobile Application Developer Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong native mobile development experience with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin or Java (Android)
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular)
• Proven ability to work with APIs and enterprise system integrations
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
