We are looking for experienced Pipe Layers to install, align, and repair underground piping systems used for water, sewer, drainage, and utilities. The role involves working on construction sites, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring pipes are placed according to engineering specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and align pipes for water, sewer, storm drainage, gas, or other utilities.

• Excavate trenches manually or with equipment to required depth and grade.

• Grade and prepare trench bottoms using hand tools or laser leveling equipment.

• Connect pipes using couplings, seals, glue, welding, or other joining methods.

• Check pipe slopes and alignment using lasers, levels, and measuring tools.

• Backfill trenches and compact soil to protect installed pipes.

• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes.

• Operate or assist with heavy equipment, such as excavators or trenchers.

• Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety protocols.

• Perform repairs on existing underground piping systems when required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in underground utility installation or construction.

• Ability to read blueprints, grade sheets, and construction plans.

• Strong understanding of trench safety and soil conditions.

• Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.

• Familiarity with pipe materials (PVC, ductile iron, concrete, HDPE).

• Basic math skills for measuring grade and pipe length.

• Ability to work as part of a crew and follow instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.

• Enter trenches and confined spaces safely.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• 1–3 years of construction or utility installation experience.

• Certifications in trench safety, confined space entry, or equipment operation are a plus.
