Metal Finisher

Salary: $20- $21.50

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards through precision finishing, grinding, and preparation work. The successful candidate will have experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform grinding and fairing (bodywork) using 7” angle grinders and air sanders equipped with vacuum systems
• Apply protective coatings to keels using rollers (no spray painting required)
• Support the Casting Department and Mold Preparation Department (training provided)
• Contribute to general shop maintenance including cleaning, organizing, and minor equipment upkeep
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols without exception

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools
• Physically capable of lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a PPE-required setting
• Comfortable wearing a respirator throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well independently or as part of a team

Health & Safety Requirements (Mandatory):

• Respirators must be worn at all times due to exposure to materials containing lead
• Quarterly medical testing is conducted to monitor lead exposure in accordance with regulatory standards
• Full PPE is provided by the company, including respirators and other protective gear
• Strict adherence to the company’s Health & Safety Program is required
