Machinist Level II

 

Position summary:
As a Level II Machinist. This position sets-up and runs programs. Machines complex parts as well as weldments and castings.

Essential Functions:

• Read and Interpret Blueprints
• Perform CNC Warmup Procedures and Basic Preventative Machine Maintenance
• Use a variety of measurement tools for complex measurement verifications (Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, ect.)
• Perform Setups, Make Fixtures
• G-Code knowledge and Basic Machine Programs
  Tight Tolerance holding
• Perform Tapping, Counter Bores, Countersink and Reaming Holes 
• Some Deburring and Prep for Inspections
• Understand thermal expansion and its effects
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-ups, operating and loading.
