Express Employment Professionals are seeking experienced and dependable Industrial Electricians to support electrical maintenance and repair activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all electrical systems and equipment while adhering to federal and state mining regulations and company policies.

Essential Qualifications

• Strong electrical knowledge, troubleshooting ability, and mechanical aptitude.

• Proven reliability with excellent attendance and a strong safety record.

• Ability to perform arc welding and operate cutting torches when required.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.

• Knowledge of safe operation of mobile equipment used throughout plant operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform required safety inspections of work areas at least once per shift in accordance with federal mining regulations; conduct additional inspections as conditions require.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across all MCC facilities, including motors, generators, starters, breakers, conduit, wiring, lighting, and control systems.

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability of electrical and drive systems; identify and report malfunctioning equipment.

• Use voltage meters, testing devices, and diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues and ensure proper system performance.

• Install new electrical equipment during construction projects, system upgrades, and equipment replacements.

• Assist with mechanical repairs as needed, including isolating and locking out drives, disconnecting motor leads, and preparing equipment for safe disassembly.

• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area by performing housekeeping duties to eliminate slip, trip, and fall risks.

• Maintain a complete set of required tools within 90 days of assignment (tool list provided upon hire).

• Operate mobile equipment when necessary, following all MSHA-required task training and safety procedures.

Pay

• $ 40.02

 

Education & Experience Requirements

• 3–5 years of verifiable experience as an industrial electrician in mining or heavy industry.

• Proficiency in the use and care of electrical meters, megger testing, and diagnostic equipment.

• Experience troubleshooting AC and DC starters, variable speed drives, and power distribution systems.

• Experience troubleshooting PLCs required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
