Job Summary: Express Employment in Bellingham is hiring a Sawmill Planer/Operations candidate with forklift driving experience for a well-established sawmill in Whatcom County. Shift: Monday- Thursday 6:00 am-4:00 pm
Pay: $24.00 / HR

Position Type: Evaluation Hire
Location: Everson, WA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

-Operate and drive a forklift
-Lifting 50-70lbs

-Pulling lumber off the belt

-Feeding and trimming lumber going into the planer

-Ability to attain grading skills in 30 working days

-Inspecting lumber for defects

-Adhering to safety regulations and procedures

-Learning and helping in all phases of a planer operation

-Setup, maintenance, and repair of all related planer equipment

-Work on the Off Bearer Machine

-Weed eating, paper wrapping, and spraying weeds as needed

-Communicate effectively with management and co-workers

-Other duties as assigned
