?? Main Responsibilities

As a warehouse employee at Pilkington, your job is a mix of warehouse work + some delivery/customer interaction:

• Receive shipments

  • Unload incoming trucks with glass products

  • Inspect shipments for damage or accuracy

• Stock and organize inventory

  • Put glass parts in assigned racks

  • Keep warehouse clean and organized

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts

• Order picking & packing

  • Locate and pull glass products for orders

  • Prepare items for delivery or customer pickup

• Load/unload trucks

  • Carefully load glass onto delivery trucks

  • Unload returns and restock items

• Customer service (important part)

  • Help “will-call” customers picking up orders

  • Maintain good relationships with customers

• Delivery duties (sometimes)

  • Drive company vehicles (non-CDL) to deliver glass

  • Follow routes and schedules

• Safety & teamwork

  • Follow strict safety procedures (glass handling is hazardous)

  • Work closely with team leads and coworkers

• Lift 35–45 lbs regularly, up to ~70 lbs occasionally

• Work in a warehouse that can feel like outdoor temperatures

• Be on your feet most of the shift

• Handle fragile but heavy glass materials

• Ability to operate:

  • Forklifts

  • Order pickers

  • Basic tools

• Valid driver’s license (for delivery roles)

• Basic reading/writing (English)

• Good attendance and reliability

• Customer service skills (you interact with clients)
