Quality Inspector - Second Shift

Location: Oxnard, CA
Pay Range: $20.00 – $23.00/hour
Shifts: 1st Shift – 5 a.m., 2nd Shift – 2 p.m.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector I to perform inspections on parts and materials at various stages of production. This role includes documenting observations, supporting quality improvement initiatives, learning ERP systems, and assisting with quality reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical and visual inspections per work instructions.

• Verify masked parts against blueprints and purchase orders.

• Document Pass/Fail status; report issues and maintain photo documentation.

• Complete Copper Sulfate / 24-hour humidity test logbooks.

• Ensure packaging instructions and traceability are followed.

• Inspect regular, expedite, and rework orders; sample large quantity orders.

• Maintain inspection area cleanliness and follow 5S practices.

• Learn blueprint reading, ERP system functionality, and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

• Respond promptly to emails and phone calls.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 0–3 years of relevant experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Strong verbal, written, and customer service skills.

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.

• Available for full-time work, overtime, and weekends as needed.

• Detail-oriented and able to maintain good housekeeping practices.
