Position Overview

We are seeking motivated Laborers to join gas distribution crews. In this role, you will assist with the installation of underground natural gas mains and services, working alongside experienced operators, pipe fitters, and foremen. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the utility construction field with opportunities for advancement.  M-F. Saturday as needed. Looking for candidates who want to a long term position. 7:00 - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of HDPE and steel gas mains and service lines.

• Handle tools, materials, and equipment for crew operations.

• Excavate and backfill trenches safely around utilities using hand tools and small equipment.

• Install tracer wire, marker balls, anodes, and other gas distribution components as directed.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA safety standards.

• Support operators and fusion technicians in preparing and joining pipe.

• Flag traffic and assist with setting up work zones as needed.

• Perform general labor duties as directed by the crew leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Prior construction or utility labor experience is a plus but not required — training will be provided for the right candidates.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Willingness to work in and around trenches and heavy equipment.

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

• Valid driver’s license (preferred).

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to various job sites throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area.
