Position Title: Order Picker / Receiving Associate

Department: Warehouse / Distribution

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Hours: 40 hours per week

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker / Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, receiving and putting away inbound inventory, and supporting the overall efficiency and organization of our distribution operations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that plays a critical role in ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pick customer orders accurately using RF scanning equipment in accordance with order specifications and priority
  • Receive, verify, and put away inbound inventory in designated locations using a narrow aisle lift truck
  • Operate narrow aisle capable lift truck (order picker/reach truck) safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards
  • Scan products and locations using RF scanners to maintain inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of assigned work areas at all times
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage; report discrepancies to supervisor
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed
  • Follow all warehouse safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status, inventory issues, or equipment concerns

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required:

  • MUST BE PUNCTUAL AND RELIABLE!!!
  • Must be certifiable on a narrow aisle capable lift truck (reach truck, order picker, or equivalent)
  • Experience operating RF scanning equipment in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, and stack 20 to 40 pounds repetitively throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
  • Ability to work at heights and in tight aisle configurations safely

Preferred:

  • Own transportation in a plus
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or receiving environment
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or WMS software
  • Experience in flooring, building materials, or related product distribution (a plus, but not required)
