Diesel Mechanic – Emergency Vehicles
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Friday, 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Pay: $30–$40/hour (based on experience)

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in the Fort Myers area, specializing in the maintenance and repair of emergency vehicles. This role requires a dependable, detail-oriented professional with strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience working with diesel engines. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cummins, CAT, or International engines and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered emergency vehicles
• Troubleshoot engine, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance
• Repair and replace components such as brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Experience working with Cummins, CAT (Caterpillar), or International engines required
• Relevant certifications (Cummins Certification, CAT Certification, or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of diesel systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Own tools preferred
• Valid driver’s license required

Work Environment:

• Shop environment working on emergency and specialty vehicles
• Physical role requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Team-oriented setting with a strong focus on safety and quality
