Store Clerk

Located in Belfair, WA

Salary: $17.23 - $20.00

A Store Clerk is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, handling transactions, and ensuring shelves are stocked. This role involves providing excellent customer service while supporting the daily operations of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions.
• Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, credit, debit).
• Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed.
• Monitor inventory and report low stock levels to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
• Handle product returns and exchanges according to store policy.
• Price and label merchandise.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Work Environment

• Retail store setting.
• May require evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
