Our client located in Carpentersville, IL is looking for a 1st Shift Maintenance Electrician to join their team! In this role, you will perform complex technical work involving the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related machinery.

 

1st shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Pay: 25/Hr

 

In this position, you will:

• Lead electrical and maintenance-related projects
• Perform general upkeep of the building’s electrical systems
• Routinely inspect electrical systems, including facility and machine wiring
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and maintenance issues and implement effective solutions
• Repair, install, adjust, and maintain machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and fix faulty wiring
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunction or wear
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
• Assist with maintaining spare parts inventory
• Follow and uphold all safety standards

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Mechanical experience is a plus
• Proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code
• Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication abilities
• Ability to lead a team and act competently in emergency situations
• Ability to work effectively with other team members
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
