Job Title: Part-Time Retail Associate

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Part-Time Retail Associate to join our client's team at a local antique store. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales transactions, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, has basic math skills, and appreciates unique and vintage items.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and offer assistance as needed

• Provide helpful information about merchandise and assist customers with selections

• Accurately total purchases using a calculator

• Calculate and apply sales tax to transactions

• Determine and apply discounts for sale items

• Process cash and/or card payments

• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor

• Assist with light merchandising and restocking (no heavy lifting required)

Qualifications:

• Basic math skills and comfort using a calculator

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Friendly, approachable, and reliable

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Interest in antiques or vintage items is a plus, but not required

Work Schedule:

• Part-time hours, including some weekends and/or holidays as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• No heavy lifting required

Compensation:

          $16 per hour
