Welder/Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and various welding techniques to produce high-quality products for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing applications. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing advanced tools and machinery in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and assembly procedures
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring strong, precise welds that meet quality standards
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, power tools, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Rigging materials and setting up machinery or components for fabrication or assembly processes
- Use calipers, basic math skills, and measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances
- Assist with machining operations as needed, including working with cranes or forklifts for material handling
- Fabricate ductwork, structural components, or custom assemblies according to project requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while always adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and troubleshoot fabrication issues promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, machining equipment, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and power tools
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately using calipers and other measurement tools
- Knowledge of welding codes and safety standards related to ductwork, structural steel fabrication, or general construction projects
- Prior experience working with schematics, assembly instructions, or manufacturing blueprints is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
