Quality Assurance Specialist

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime may be available)
Pay: $16.90/hr during the temp-to-hire period. Pay increase once hired permanently.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist inspects materials, products in production, and finished goods to ensure they meet company quality standards. This role also tracks and maintains quality data and supports company safety and quality policies.

This position works with employees, customers, and other departments to help maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, products in production, and finished goods

• Record and maintain quality inspection data

• Help improve manufacturing processes and product quality

• Conduct quality audits

• Assist with supplier and customer quality issues

• Support customer and internal audits

• Maintain inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Investigate quality issues and help determine root causes

• Inspect components to ensure they meet drawings and specifications

• Read shop drawings and understand weld symbols

• Inspect welds according to AWS standards

• Perform non-destructive testing (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing)

Preferred Skills

• Strong problem-solving ability

• Basic knowledge of process improvement methods (KPI, SPC, Lean)

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

• Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment
