Job Overview

We are seeking a Material Handler to join our clients' logistics and warehouse operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse environment. This role is vital to ensuring timely order fulfillment, safe handling of heavy equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience operating a forklifts, and a understanding of warehouse safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload materials using appropriate equipment including forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Perform order picking with RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to ensure accurate fulfillment.
• Perform data entry into WMS.
• Operate forklift.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying quantities and inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Handle materials with precision, including medium lifting tasks.
• Maintain organized storage areas, utilizing pallet jacks and clamp trucks to optimize space utilization.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating records within warehouse systems.
• Support warehouse supervisors in coordinating daily operations and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, materials handling, or related roles within a warehouse or construction environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking procedures.
• Strong physical stamina for lifting tasks and prolonged standing or moving throughout shifts.
• Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes and inventory control is highly desirable.
