Store Manager – Paint & Supply Retail

 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager for a client in the paint and coatings industry. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring excellent customer service standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day store activities including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, scheduling, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe sales floor.

• Customer Service & Sales: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers and professional painting contractors while supporting sales growth and customer satisfaction.

• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, place product orders, perform cycle counts, and ensure accurate receiving, stocking, and shipping of paint products, supplies, and sundries.

• Technical Expertise: Operate paint tinting, mixing, and color-matching equipment to accurately fulfill customer orders and maintain quality control standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail management or paint industry experience preferred 

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic computer skills for reporting, scheduling, and POS systems

• Ability to lift and move inventory as needed
