Sales Associate – Paint & Supply Store 

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Sales Associates for a client within the paint and coatings industry. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy customer interaction, hands-on work, and a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Customer Consultation: Greet customers, assess their project needs, and recommend appropriate paint products, finishes, primers, and application tools.

• Paint Mixing & Color Matching: Accurately tint, mix, and match paint colors using custom formulas, spectrophotometers, and automated dispensing equipment.

• Sales & Transactions: Process purchases, handle returns, and manage cash or credit transactions accurately using the store’s point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Inventory Management: Unload delivery trucks, stock shelves, organize the backroom, and assist with regular inventory counts.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail, customer service, or paint experience preferred 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic math and computer skills for POS transactions

• Ability to lift and move paint products as needed

• Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
