Sales Support Specialist (Inside Sales)

We are seeking a motivated Sales Support Specialist to join a growing team supporting innovative proprietary products in the manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for someone who is a self-starter, comfortable on the phone, and energized by building relationships with potential customers.

In this position, you will help drive business development efforts by supporting inside sales initiatives, identifying opportunities, and helping generate interest in specialized products used within the manufacturing industry.

This role also includes travel to regional trade shows (approximately 1–2 per quarter) where you will assist with booth setup, represent the company, and engage with manufacturers to educate them on the company’s solutions. All travel expenses are covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect and cultivate interest in proprietary products using phone outreach, email, and creative prospecting strategies
Build relationships with prospective customers and generate sales opportunities
Provide product knowledge and recommend appropriate solutions based on customer needs
Assist with trade show planning and execution, including booth setup and engaging with manufacturers at industry events
Travel to regional trade shows approximately 1–2 times per quarter (company-paid travel)
Track and manage sales activity through CRM and sales management tools
Assist with forecasting and reporting on sales pipeline activity
Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and leadership
Support the Sales Manager and leadership team with additional sales initiatives and related duties as needed

Schedule

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
When traveling for trade shows, schedules may flex to support event setup and participation.

Compensation

$18 – $25+ per hour, depending on experience
Bonus and commission incentives available

Qualifications

High School Diploma required
3+ years of job-related experience, preferably in sales, inside sales, or sales development
Comfortable with outbound prospecting and engaging customers by phone
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Ability to clearly present product information and solutions
Experience using CRM or sales management software
Strong computer skills and ability to generate reports
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Background or exposure to manufacturing strongly preferred
Willingness and ability to travel for trade shows
