POSITION SUMMARY

 

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused CDL Driver to join our growing delivery team. In this role, you will operate a commercial delivery vehicle to pick up and deliver clean and soiled linens, uniforms, garments, and laundry products to hotels, restaurants, healthcare facilities, spas, and other commercial accounts across our service area. You are the face of our client on every stop, and your professionalism directly reflects the quality of service our customers expect.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely over assigned delivery routes.
• Pick up soiled linen, garments, and laundry goods from customer locations and return them to the facility.
• Deliver freshly laundered and packaged products accurately and on schedule.
• Count, sort, and verify linen and uniform quantities against route sheets and customer records.
• Obtain customer signatures and document any shortages, overages, or service issues.
• Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and facility staff.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete driver logs per DOT and company requirements.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate route supplies.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist in loading and unloading laundry carts, bags, and hampers using proper lifting techniques.
• Follow all DOT regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company safety and hygiene protocols.
• Adapt to route changes, add-on stops, or emergency pickups as directed by dispatch.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Valid CDL Class A or B with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination, drug and alcohol screening, and background check.
• Ability to operate handheld route management or scanning devices.
• Ability to push, pull, and maneuver loaded laundry carts (up to 300 lbs) and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to complete a multi-stop route independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in linen, laundry, uniform, or route delivery services.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Knowledge of local streets, hotels, hospitals, or restaurant districts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE

• Early morning start times; typical shift begins between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
• Monday through Saturday availability required; schedule varies by route.
• Work involves indoor and outdoor settings, including loading docks, kitchens, and laundry facilities.
• Exposure to heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions.
• Physical role requiring frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
