Position Overview

This role supports the full HR function for a construction workforce of approximately 160 employees and works hand in hand with the Accounting department. The position requires hands-on involvement with weekly payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and recruiting.

6+ years of HR management experience, the ideal candidate will be confident owning processes and working cross-functionally in a construction environment.

? Required Experience & Knowledge

Must Haves

  • 6+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience supporting 160+ employees
  • Weekly payroll processing experience
  • In-house payroll tax processing, including:
    • 941 filings
    • Federal and state payroll taxes
    • Quarterly and year-end reporting
  • Experience coordinating with Accounting on:
    • Payroll
    • Accounts Payable (A/P)
    • Accounts Receivable (A/R)
    • Invoice processing
  • Construction industry knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas)
  • Benefits administration experience:
    • Open enrollment
    • Health benefits
  • Workers’ compensation claims management
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Drug testing coordination
  • Recruiting for field and office employees

Nice to Haves

  • CDL recruiting experience
  • Construction A/P and A/R knowledge
  • Experience auditing and processing payroll with ADP
  • QuickBooks Desktop experience
  • Experience learning and implementing new systems (Foundation experience helpful)
