Maintenance Technician

Salary: $30.00 - $35.00/Hour
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability of our production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history
- Conduct welding repairs and modifications as needed to maintain equipment integrity
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with safety standards
- Lead or supervise maintenance team members during shift operations or specific projects
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
- Support facilities maintenance tasks such as HVAC, plumbing, and general building repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Requirements:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a focus on machinery repair
- Supervising experience is preferred for leadership roles within the maintenance team
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting automation systems
- Skilled in welding techniques for repairs and fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical wiring, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work and collaborate with team members
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to supervise technicians and coordinate maintenance activities effectively
