Salary: $88,005.73 - $192,068.42/year

The Director, Procurement and Manufacturing is responsible for leading sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management strategies while also overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

This role works closely with senior leadership to ensure procurement and operational strategies align with overall business objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Supply Chain

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Lead strategic and annual procurement planning aligned with company objectives
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier and vendor relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and supplier agreements to secure favorable pricing and terms
  • Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and customs coordination
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or cost
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operational and production requirements
  • Stay current on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting supply chain operations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team

Manufacturing & Operations

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support operational and organizational goals
  • Oversee daily operations including production planning, scheduling, shipping/receiving, and facility maintenance
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality, and profitability targets are met
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Recruit, lead, train, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and finance teams to align production with forecasts and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations and standards (ISO, ASME, CWB)
  • Stay informed on industry technologies, best practices, and manufacturing innovations
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent) considered an asset
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills
  • Deep understanding of supply chain management and manufacturing operations
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel as required
