Overview:

Our client, founded in 2012, is a growing custom furniture and millwork company with two facilities totaling over 20,000 square feet. They specialize in creating high-quality, custom-built projects for their clients.

They are currently seeking a Millwork Designer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of millwork design, working on custom projects from concept through to manufacturing and installation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys seeing their designs move from drawing board to finished product.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

• Create customer drawings for approval, then develop detailed shop drawings once designs are approved
• Prepare and update technical drawings and design documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Determine material specifications required for production
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure design timelines and project deadlines are met
• Update drawings as changes or issues arise during the design or production process
• Provide material and component lists to the Purchasing Manager for procurement
• Collaborate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure designs are accurate and buildable

Are You Qualified?

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in design, ideally within millwork, cabinetry, or custom furniture
• Experience working with Mosaic software
• Experience or familiarity with Fusion applications considered an asset
• Previous design-related education or training is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Clean and organized work environment
• Working on a computer for extended periods of time
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and design specifications
• Occasional periods of standing when reviewing drawings or production details
