Overview

This is a Direct Hire Position

Our client, an established automotive supplier in the Simcoe area, is currently seeking a hands-on Production Group Leader to support their production department.

This role is ideal for a strong floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can help keep production, safety, and team performance running smoothly. The successful candidate will lead by example while supporting daily operations and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and support production team members during assigned shifts
• Review production schedules and ensure output and delivery targets are achieved
• Assign staff based on skills, experience, and production requirements
• Troubleshoot production, maintenance, and workflow issues to minimize downtime
• Ensure safety, quality, 5S, and productivity standards are consistently maintained
• Coach, train, and mentor team members to support performance and development
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts within the department

Are You Qualified?

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous team leadership, lead hand, or supervisory experience
• Strong technical and mechanical knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfortable working a rotating three-shift schedule

Physical Demands of the Role

• Standing for extended periods of time
• Frequent bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
• Working a rotating shift schedule
