Our client, a well-established automotive parts supplier in Norfolk County, is expanding their skilled trades team and is currently seeking a Licensed Tool & Die Maker.

This position focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stamping dies to keep production running safely, accurately, and efficiently. If you have experience with transfer or progressive dies and enjoy hands-on problem solving in a clean, safety-focused plant, this is an excellent long-term opportunity.

What You Will Be Doing

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain stamping dies used in transfer and coil line presses
• Perform preventative maintenance on production tooling, dies, and molds
• Operate milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to manufacture or repair components
• Assemble tooling components and perform welding as required
• Inspect finished tooling to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and die drawings
• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to resolve tooling issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities
• Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Are You Qualified?

• Licensed Tool & Die Maker
• Experience working with transfer and/or progressive dies
• Strong manual machining background (mills, lathes, hand tools, tooling adjustments)
• Strong math, measurement, and blueprint reading skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a skilled trades team
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Automotive stamping experience considered a strong asset
