Position Overview

The IT Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting internal teams by maintaining technology systems and ensuring employees have the tools they need to work effectively. This position is responsible for day-to-day IT support, system maintenance, hardware and software deployment, and contributing to larger technology initiatives that improve efficiency and security.

This role offers a mix of hands-on technical support, collaboration with third-party vendors, and involvement in projects focused on automating and modernizing IT processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support through a ticketing system, chat, remote sessions, and occasional phone support
  • Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, peripherals, and network connectivity
  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows servers, Windows and macOS workstations, and network equipment
  • Deploy and provision laptops, mobile devices, and user accounts for new employees
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and equipment
  • Assist with evaluating, selecting, and implementing new technology solutions
  • Support endpoint security, mobile device management, and governance tools
  • Work with third-party IT vendors to ensure performance, security standards, and service agreements are met
  • Document and track compliance with internal information security policies
  • Participate in ongoing IT projects and additional duties as assigned

Work Arrangement:

  • Onsite support required
  • Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) may be available after 90 days with manager approval

Qualifications

  • Strong experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based IT systems and network infrastructure
  • Experience with endpoint security, device management, and system monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with hardware installation, software deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive problem-solver

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in an IT support, technical, or systems administration role
