We are seeking a passionate and skilled Advanced-Level Cook to join our client needing a member of their culinary team in a scenic winery in Saint Helena. This role blends high-level culinary expertise with a deep appreciation for wine. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment where food and wine pairings are central to the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities• Prepare and execute elevated dishes that complement the winery’s wine offerings• Source and incorporate fresh, local ingredients with a focus on sustainability• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization• Participate in winery events, tastings, and culinary showcases
Experience
• Seeking a chef with minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in fine dining, or winery setting.• Expertise in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment• Excellent communication and leadership skills• Understanding this position requires the working hours of the weekends and possibly special events
Prefer a candidate with strong culinary experience (prefer a culinary school graduate)
