Field Services & Operational Support Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a leading energy services company in the Permian Basin to fill a critical Field Services & Operational Support Technician position. This role is essential to keeping oilfield equipment performing at peak readiness — supporting drilling, completion, and production operations across the Permian Basin, primarily in Midland TX.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•     Inspect, maintain, and prepare oilfield equipment and tools for field deployment

•     Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure operational readiness

•     Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical issues and coordinate repairs

•     Track equipment status, maintenance records, and parts inventory

•     Coordinate with field operations and logistics teams to prioritize equipment availability

•     Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality requirements

•     Operate in compliance with HSE policies and Permian Basin field protocols

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

•     2+ years of experience in oilfield equipment maintenance, field services, or a related technical role

•     Strong mechanical aptitude — experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or electromechanical systems a plus

•     Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and work orders

•     Familiarity with Permian Basin operations and oilfield service environments

•     Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

•     Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs

•     Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

•     High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred
