CNC Machinist – 3 Axis & 5 Axis

Direct Hire | Shelby Township, MI

Day Shift: 6:00am–4:30pm | Monday–Friday (weekend work as needed)

$28–$38/hour based on experience

Established Tier 1 manufacturer supporting major automotive and aerospace programs is expanding its CNC machining team. This operation specializes in prototype tooling, precision machining, and low-volume production.

Openings available for experienced 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC Machinists.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate 3 Axis or 5 Axis CNC milling machines
• Machine tight-tolerance components
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits
• Conduct in-process inspections
• Work closely with programmers and floor leadership

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience in prototype or low-volume machining preferred
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
• Comfortable in a production-driven environment

Compensation and Shift:

• 5 Axis: $32–$38/hour
• 3 Axis: $28–$33/hour
• Day Shift: 6:00am–4:30pm | Monday–Friday (weekend work as needed)
