Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Plastic Surgery
Location: Coral Gables, Florida
Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (Start Time: 6:00 AM)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing plastic surgery team in Coral Gables. The PACU RN will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia following cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures, ensuring safe and high-quality post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the immediate post-anesthesia recovery period

• Evaluate airway, breathing, circulation, pain levels, and overall patient status

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the surgeon or anesthesia provider

• Identify and respond quickly to post-operative complications

• Provide clear communication and education to patients and families regarding recovery and discharge instructions

• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized PACU environment

Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (PACU, ICU, ER, or surgical experience preferred)

• BLS and ACLS certification required)

• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM

• Schedule may include rotating days based on surgical volume
