Position Summary

The Fabrication Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding components for a variety of industrial equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience in hard facing and general metal fabrication, with the ability to create, modify, and repair parts according to specifications. This position plays an important role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and longevity of company equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld parts for equipment and machinery, ensuring precision and durability

• Perform hard facing to extend the lifespan of high-wear components

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to fabricate and assemble parts

• Inspect and maintain welding equipment, tools, and materials to ensure proper working condition

• Repair and modify mechanical components and equipment, including troubleshooting and identifying potential issues

• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to assess and prioritize fabrication projects

• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project timelines

• Follow all safety procedures and best practices during fabrication and welding activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fabrication Welder, including experience with hard facing or wear-resistant applications

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience with fabrication processes including cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly

• Familiarity with welding equipment maintenance and safety standards

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Physical stamina and manual dexterity required for fabrication and welding tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding certification or formal training in metal fabrication

• Experience working with industrial or heavy equipment environments
