Material Handler

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling warehouse distribution tasks, utilizing various types of forklifts including counter balance and raymond reach. This role requires physical strength, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.

External license in BOTH Raymond reach and counterbalance

Day shift 7:00am - 3:30pm

Duties:

- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders
- Unload, unpack, and inspect incoming goods for damage or defects
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment to move and store materials
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely shipping

- Perform basic math calculations to determine quantities, weights, and measurements

Skills:

- Experience in shipping and receiving operations within a warehouse environment
- Proficiency in operating reach trucks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes and e-commerce operations
- Ability to accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications
- Familiarity and good computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory records
- Basic math skills for calculating quantities, weights, and measurements

Qualifications

• External license in BOTH Raymond reach and counterbalance
• Ability to organize, prioritize, plan, and execute
• Ability to Multi task
• Knowledgeable in shipping/receiving practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to lift heavy weights occasionally
• Attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure with specific timelines.
• Must be able to interact well with diverse groups verbally and in writing.
• Ability to working with little or no supervision.
• Familiar with various hand tools, personal computer, phone, forklift and automobile.
