Electronic Technician

Salary: $23-$25 Per Hour

Job description:
Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies and systems to defined specifications in a timely and cost-effective manner. Must have experience with testing and troubleshooting printed circuit board assemblies.

Tasks:
Troubleshoot analog & digital circuitry to component level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction. Recognizes failures, isolates problems, and takes appropriate actions to resolve those problems. Performs required repairs to return unit to operational state. Setup and tests unit to meet required specifications. Clean and test device checking performance and functionality. Test production products to ensure proper operation per established test criteria. Operates oscilloscopes, generators, meters, power supplies, service monitors, and test fixtures and understands their use and function. Completes Service Data Sheets. Assists other departments as directed by Operations Manager.

Skills:
Must be able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong digital and analog skills. Methodical and disciplined approach to problem solving. Ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner. Ability to read drawings and process procedures. Use various hand tools and small power tools as required. Ability to replace components on printed circuit board assemblies using soldering/rework equipment. Able to work as part of a team. Maintain work area in safe, neat, clean, and orderly condition. Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

Job Requirements:
Advanced training in electronic theory such as one would receive at a technical trade school, military school an Associate Degree program, or multiple years minimum 5 yrs of on-the-job training. Some travel many be required.

Pay $23 - $25 per hour.
