Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Sales Director to lead and grow our sales operations within the telecommunications industry. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives for internet, telephone, and networking solutions, while driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.

The Sales Director will oversee and mentor the sales team, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to ensure alignment with company objectives. This position requires strong business acumen, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape, including emerging technologies and competitive market trends.


Core Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals for internet, telephone, and networking solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s market presence.
  • Establish measurable performance metrics and ensure sales targets are consistently achieved.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure productivity, accountability, and high performance.
  • Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture focused on achieving company goals.

Market Analysis

  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
  • Monitor competitor activity and emerging technologies within the telecommunications industry.
  • Develop strategies to position the company effectively in the marketplace.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address complex client concerns promptly.
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts and strategic partnerships.

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Develop long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and retention.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Manage and track the sales pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting and revenue projections.
  • Prepare and present sales performance reports and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and technical teams to align sales initiatives with marketing campaigns, product launches, and service capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of Sales Management experience in telecommunications, broadband, and/or information technology, with a focus on voice connectivity and data networking.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience leading sales teams.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, sales closing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Highly customer-focused with an emphasis on satisfaction and retention.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
