About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator / Warehouse Specialist to support both freight station operations and general warehouse activities. This hybrid role combines administrative logistics work with hands-on warehouse responsibilities, including significant forklift operation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage bonded freight station processes, including receiving, inspecting, and releasing inbound freight.
• Process and release freight using internal systems and incoming customs paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records for all bonded freight handled in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight owners, and internal teams to ensure timely releases.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stage, and load freight.
• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities to ensure an organized, safe, and efficient workspace.
• Attach clear identification to freight and maintain accurate warehouse labeling.
• Pack parts and prepare shipments in accordance with specifications
• Liaise with freight owners to provide shipment updates and resolve issues.
• Track orders and monitor shipment progress from arrival through final delivery.
• Manage incoming emails, system notifications, and shipment documents.
• Receive, verify, and process U.S. Customs releases.
• Ensure all payments and fees related to freight and trucking are processed correctly.
• Match trucking documents with corresponding carriers and maintain audit-ready records.
• Generate delivery quotes, shipping documents, and labels.
• Answer phone calls and provide support related to freight status, deliveries, or documentation.
• Coordinate shipping activities with truckers, warehouse staff, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, or a customs-bonded facility preferred.
• Forklift experience required
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
• Ability to lift/move freight as needed with proper equipment.
• Proficiency with email systems and shipment-tracking/warehouse software.
