The Tool Crib Attendant plays a crucial role in managing the inventory of tools and materials within a manufacturing or industrial environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that all tools are properly stocked, maintained, and readily available for use by employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of their daily responsibilities.
Duties
• Procure tools and materials as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Manage stock levels and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy.
• Fulfill orders for tools and equipment requested by staff.
• Utilize analytics and data visualization tools to track inventory usage and trends.
• Collect data related to tool usage and inventory turnover for reporting purposes.
• Assist in materials management by organizing tools in an efficient manner.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers for inventory management when necessary.
• Ensure the tool crib area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Perform heavy lifting as required when stocking or retrieving tools.
Requirements
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in order fulfillment and materials management preferred.
• Proficiency in data collection methods; familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and effectively.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and inventory management.

 

Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:30pm $13.50hr  plus benefits
