SERVICE WRITER

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Service Writer for a reputable and growing company in the Hibbing area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has hands-on mechanical experience.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing in equipment for service. You will help identify concerns, coordinate repair schedules, and ensure customers are kept informed throughout the service process. Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset are key to success in this position.

We are looking for candidates who possess a valid driver's license and are able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check. 

Schedule: Dayshift, Monday - Friday
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00+/hour, based on experience with opportunities for bonuses or commission

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers and gather information regarding service needs or concerns
• Create and manage service work orders while ensuring accurate documentation
• Communicate with technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs, and timelines
• Explain recommended services and updates to customers in a clear and professional manner
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate daily workflow
• Keep customers informed on the status of their service requests
• Resolve questions or concerns while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records using computer systems and service software

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must obtain a valid driver's license, pass a background check, and drug screen
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working with computers and service management systems
• Prior experience in service coordination, mechanical environments, or repair industries is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge or hands-on experience in service or repair work is helpful
