Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is hiring an Assembly Technician for a fabrication shop in East Feliciana Parish. This position involves hands-on work assembling screens and basket components, maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, and operating a forklift as needed. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a fast-paced industrial setting.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions

• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks

• Maintains equipment and tooling required for structural components.

• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies

• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems

• Complies with applicable safety regulations and best practices, including all OSHA regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read instructions and schematics

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 20 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday

• Willingness to perform physical labor and stay active on your feet

• Basic mechanical aptitude or assembly experience preferred

• Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to be trained)

• Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
