Hot Plant Operator – Winton, CA

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Hot Plant Operator to join our team in Winton, CA. The Hot Plant Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring asphalt plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient production and high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant equipment and systems, including crushing and grading operations.

• Monitor plant operations to ensure proper material flow and maintain the quality of asphalt mix.

• Read production schedules and determine the appropriate sequence of operations.

• Operate the plant according to production schedules using the correct materials.

• Monitor and respond to plant issues or emergencies to maintain safe operations.

• Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and service on plant equipment as required.

• Maintain cleanliness of the control house and plant yard on a daily basis.

• Oversee truck scales and assist with the safe and efficient loading of trucks.

• Enter production data and operational information into computer systems.

• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating asphalt or aggregate plant equipment preferred.

• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.

• Welding experience using an arc welder or cutting torch is a plus.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor material quality.
