Job Title: Operations Support Staff (Meals on Wheels Program)

Location: McAllen, TX 
Schedule: Full-Time | 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Days Off: Two days off per week (schedule may vary) able to work weekends
Pay: $12.00 per hour

Job Summary:
A nonprofit organization supporting the Meals on Wheels program is seeking a dependable Operations Support Staff member to assist with daily kitchen and facility operations. This role helps ensure meals are prepared, packaged, and organized for delivery to community members in need while also maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the worksite. The ideal candidate is reliable, team-oriented, and willing to assist with a variety of operational tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks

• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the work location, including kitchen areas, workstations, storage areas, and common spaces

• Help maintain a clean and organized facility environment

• Move and organize boxes, supplies, and food items as needed

• Support staff with meal packaging and operational needs

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Assist team members with additional duties to support daily operations

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and move boxes or supplies as needed

• Comfortable working in a kitchen and facility operations environment

• Reliable and able to work in a team-oriented setting

• Willing to assist with a variety of operational and cleaning tasks

• Able to work weekends and holidays as required

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced nonprofit environment focused on serving the community

• Work includes standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and performing cleaning duties throughout the facility

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
