Commercial Painter
Pay: $18–$22 per hour 
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | Day shift

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Painter with at least 2 years of experience to join our team. This role requires someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, can work efficiently on commercial projects, and communicates well with other trades on site. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Expectations

• Ability to exert physical effort in transporting 20–50 lbs

• Ability to endure various physical movements throughout work areas

• Timely arrival and dependable attendance

• Maintain good communication with other trades on site

• Maintain a clean, safe, and risk-free work environment

• Willingness to complete required safety training

Special Skills Required

• Skim coating (smooth coat)

• Experience using paint sprayers, including proper cleaning and maintenance

• Paint matching and knowledge of appropriate paints for different surfaces

• Surface preparation, including washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting, or other methods

• Proper use and care of painting equipment and tools

• Knowledge of mixing, matching, and blending paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings

• Ability to apply caulking, putties, cement, or plaster to fill holes and cracks cleanly

• Knowledge of wall coverings (wallpaper, vinyl coverings, etc.)

• Experience with stains and finishing techniques

• Ability to operate high-reach lifts

• Ability to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions

• High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving

• Ability to maintain timelines and work schedules
