Purchasing Agent

Specialized Recruiting Group is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant for a well-established food manufacturing company located in Irwindale, CA.

This position will support the purchasing and supply chain department by assisting with vendor communication, inventory monitoring, and the timely procurement of materials needed for production. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems and a solid background in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process purchase orders and purchase requisitions.
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, product availability, and order status updates.
• Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and filing systems.
• Evaluate vendor quotes by comparing pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support purchasing needs and inventory requirements.
• Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies, shipment issues, or damaged goods with vendors.
• Update and maintain vendor records and product information within the system.
• Support inventory management efforts by monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking as needed.
