Express Employment Professionals of Longview is now hiring 2 Material Handlers for a large Longview manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
Receives, records, stores, and issues floor merchandise, materials, equipment and other items from stockrooms, warehouse or storage yard to designated locations.
Deployment of receiving dock to stock following department policy, procedures and verbal instructions.
Coordinates receipt of special incoming materials or equipment with Purchasing and Production, or other departments, to ensure accurate and timely communication and delivery and avoid shortages.
Supports the development of proper storage methods, locations, identification, and stocking quantities based on turnover, environmental factors, and the physical capabilities of facilities.
Performs daily cycle counts with other material handling personnel, and marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Examines and inspects stock and parts items for damage, identification and return of distressed materials or equipment.
Must be certified and hold a valid forklift truck operator's license.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
