The Bander / General Laborer plays a critical role in preparing building products for shipment by ensuring materials are packaged, secured, and staged safely and efficiently. This position supports overall warehouse operations through equipment handling, product organization, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Responsibilities require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

Product Banding & Packaging

• Band and secure finished products into stable, shippable units. 
• Select and apply correct banding patterns to ensure products arrive intact and undamaged. 
• Verify proper packaging materials are used during the banding process. 

General Labor & Material Handling

• Receive packaged product from production areas and prepare it for shipment. 
• Assist with movement, staging, and organization of materials within the warehouse.
• Handle equipment safely with a high degree of attention to prevent product or equipment damage. 

Work Area Maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, particularly within the banding zone. 
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse or production experience is preferred but not required. 
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity when operating equipment. 
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials in a physically demanding environment.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
